L-CARNITINE

L-CARNITINE is a natural and major component responsible for energy production in the mitochondria of the cell.

Its specific action is to transport fatty acids across the membrane of mitochondria where betaoxidation occurs and, therefore, the burning of fats as an energy source for the cell.

The greater amount of L-carnitine there is in the tissue, the greater amount of fat that can be burnt. In combination with sports activities, it can contribute to a reduction of body weight and increased energy.

Used in cellulite and localised adiposity reduction treatments.
